On Friday, November 17, 2006, we will have a fabulous Mondiale evening of White Truffles and outstanding Brunello di Montalcino from Mastrojanni, Querceta, Altesino, Campogiovanni, and Riserva's from Companna and Biondi Santi. All of the Brunellos will be from the much heralded 1997 vintage, except for the Biondi Santi which will be from the equally heralded 1990 vintage. Framing the Brunello's will be a Beaune Clos des Mouches 2002 white Burgundy from Drouhin and Chateau Coutet Sauternes-Barsac, 1996.
 
The wines were chosen to further enhance Nunzio's truffle studded menu.  We begin the evening with a champagne reception, with Foie Gras, Ahi tuna, Oysters and Veal Kidney; Our first course will be Poached Turbot with Lobster Cenelle in tarragon sauce AND WHITE TRUFFLES. The second course will be Sweet Breads with oven-roasted Veal Short Ribs served with leeks and WHITE TRUFFLE LASAGNA.   The third course will be braised Red Leg Partridge with winter vegetable ragu served with a side of Parmigiano and WHITE TRUFFLE RISOTTO.  
 
A cheese course featuring aged Robbiola Cheese, Roasted Chestnuts and Tuscan Castagnaccio followed by a dessert of Braised Figs in Port Wine with Pear Semifreddo concludes the meal.  Nunzio always throws in some surprises to further enhance the evening.

This is an event not to be missed by Mondiale members. Seating is limited to sixteen, so please don’t delay.
