Dear Confreres et Consoeurs:
You are Invited
"Tasting the World, One Course at a Time."
April 17, 2005
![]()
for an around the world dinner especially planned by Chef Grant Langdon Brown for the Philadelphia Chaine.
Our reception will begin at 4:00 PM at the historic home of fellow Chaine member, Don Baird, (conveniently, located adjacent to the restaurant at 2002 Lombard Street), to include international hors doeuvres from Brazil, Vietnam , Thailand, and more .
This intimate tasting experience will also include new and unusual courses along with classic country dishes, accompanied by exotic and complex wines. Imagine, a Moroccan confit of quail leg stuffed with dates and seared quail breast in a fig and red wine glaze, followed by Summerfield Farms baby lamb loin enhanced by a sauce of petit lemons and fragrant mint, touched by honey dripped almonds accompanied by Middle Eastern salads.
Among the wines will be the hard to find, remarkable Chateau Musar 1997 from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon.
This email is your early notification of a dinner that can only accommodate 36 people. Your check sent now will reserve this evening before the official invitation is mailed.
